Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar and Drive to Barkot

Your spiritual journey commences as our representative meets you at Haridwar. We immediately begin the scenic ascent toward Barkot, a beautiful hill station situated at the foot of Yamunotri. The drive offers refreshing views of the Yamuna River and lush greenery. Upon arrival, you check into your hotel to relax and acclimatize to the higher altitude, preparing your body for the first trek of the pilgrimage.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri Darshan – Barkot

We start the day early with a drive to Janki Chatti, the base for the Yamunotri trek. From here, you embark on a 6 km trek (via foot, pony, or palanquin) to reach the first Dham. After reaching the shrine, take a ritual dip in Jamunabai Kund’s warm waters and offer prayers at the Yamunotri Temple. Following a peaceful darshan, we trek back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi (The Kashi of the North)

After a hearty breakfast, we travel toward Uttarkashi, a town renowned for its deep religious significance and ancient temples. The route takes you through winding mountain passes with stunning valley views. Upon reaching Uttarkashi, we visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Spend the evening exploring the local markets or meditating by the Bhagirathi River before retiring to your hotel.

Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi

Today, we head toward Gangotri, the second Dham, passing through the picturesque Harsil Valley, often called the “Mini Switzerland of India.” The sight of the shimmering Bhagirathi River against the backdrop of cedar forests is truly enchanting. At Gangotri, offer your prayers to Goddess Ganga and witness the pristine beauty of the Himalayan landscape. After experiencing the divine atmosphere, we drive back to Uttarkashi for the night.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

The journey continues as we drive toward Guptkashi, located in the Mandakini river valley. This town holds great importance as the place where Lord Shiva reportedly hid from the Pandavas. During the drive, you witness the changing landscape of the Garhwal region. On arrival, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple, a unique shrine where Shiva and Parvati are worshipped in a single idol, then check into your hotel.

Day 6: Guptkashi – Kedarnath (The High Altitude Abode)

This is the most anticipated day of the yatra. We drive to Sonprayag and then take a local shuttle to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, the 16 km trek to Kedarnath begins. You can choose to walk, hire a pony, or use the pre-booked helicopter service from Phata or Sirsi. Upon reaching the top, the sight of the Kedarnath Temple against the snow-clad peaks will wash away all exhaustion. Attend the evening prayers and stay overnight in Kedarnath.

Day 7: Kedarnath to Guptkashi

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Kedarnath peak and perform the morning ‘Abhishek.’ After seeking final blessings, we begin the descent back to Gaurikund. Our driver meets you at Sonprayag to transfer you back to Guptkashi. Use this evening to rest and rejuvenate your body after the strenuous trek, enjoying the peaceful mountain air of the Mandakini valley.

Day 8: Guptkashi to Badrinath via Joshimath

We depart for Badrinath, the final destination of the Char Dham circuit. The route passes through Joshimath and offers views of the Alaknanda River. Upon reaching Badrinath, take a purifying dip in the Tapt Kund (natural hot springs) before entering the temple of Lord Vishnu. The vibrant colors of the temple and the towering Neelkanth Peak in the background create a majestic setting for your evening darshan.

Day 9: Badrinath to Rudraprayag

In the morning, explore Mana Village, the Vyas Gufa, and the Saraswati River’s origin point. We then begin our return journey toward Rudraprayag. This town marks the holy confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. The drive is relatively relaxing and allows you to soak in the spiritual energy of the various “Prayags” (confluences) you pass along the way. Stay overnight at a riverside hotel in Rudraprayag.

Day 10: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh – Haridwar

On the final day, we drive back toward the plains. We stop at Rishikesh, the “Yoga Capital of the World,” where you can visit the iconic Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula. Take a final moment of reflection by the Ganges before we drop you off at the Haridwar railway station or your preferred location. This concludes your 10-day sacred Char Dham Yatra with memories that last a lifetime.
