Experience a soul-stirring pilgrimage through the Himalayas with our carefully planned Yamunotri–Gangotri–Badrinath Yatra from Haridwar. This 8-day spiritual journey takes you through Devbhoomi – the “Land of the Gods” – and connects you deeply with three of the four most sacred dhams of Hinduism. Your yatra begins from the holy city of Haridwar and follows the sacred routes along the Bhagirathi, Alaknanda and Yamuna rivers as you travel through peaceful hill towns and temple-filled valleys.
Along the way, you pass emerald-green valleys, winding mountain roads and forests that are closely linked with ancient Vedic stories and legends. At Yamunotri, you can take a dip in the hot springs and offer prayers at the temple of Goddess Yamuna; at Gangotri, you experience the calm beauty of the Ganga’s glacier-fed origins; and at Badrinath, you stand before the majestic shrine of Lord Vishnu surrounded by towering peaks. The itinerary is designed to balance devotion and comfort, with arranged stays, meals and transfers, evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, and a visit to the mystical border village of Mana, so that your focus stays on your faith and inner transformation rather than on logistics.

Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar – Scenic Drive to Barkot
Your sacred journey begins in the holy city of Haridwar. After a warm welcome, we depart for Barkot, a beautiful hill station nestled at the foot of Yamunotri. The drive takes you through the winding mountain roads of Mussoorie, offering panoramic views of the Shivalik range. We stop at the majestic Kempty Falls to enjoy the refreshing atmosphere before reaching Barkot by evening. Check into your hotel and prepare for the trek ahead.
Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (The Source of Yamuna)
Early in the morning, we drive to Janki Chatti, the starting point of the 6-km trek to Yamunotri Temple. You can choose to walk or hire a pony/palanquin to reach the shrine. Upon arrival, cook rice in the boiling waters of Surya Kund as an offering and seek blessings from Goddess Yamuna. After a spiritually fulfilling Darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot for a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
We set off early towards Gangotri, the sacred origin of the River Ganga in the Himalayas. The scenic drive takes you through Uttarkashi, one of the most revered temple towns in Uttarakhand. Upon reaching the Gangotri Temple (3,100 m), you can take a holy dip in the ice-cold waters of the Bhagirathi River, offer prayers to Goddess Ganga, and feel the divine energy of this pristine Himalayan shrine. Return to Uttarkashi for the night.
Day 4: Uttarkashi – Rudraprayag
After breakfast, we begin the long but beautiful drive towards Rudraprayag — the holy confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Along the way, we pass through some of the most scenic valleys, dense deodar forests, and ancient temples of the Garhwal Himalayas. Arrive at Rudraprayag by evening. Spend the evening by the riverside and absorb the sacred atmosphere of this confluence town. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Rudraprayag – Badrinath via Joshimath
Today’s drive is one of the most spectacular mountain journeys in India. We pass through Rudraprayag, the sacred confluence town, and continue through Karnaprayag and Chamoli before reaching Joshimath — the winter throne of Lord Badri. After a brief stop, we continue our ascent to Badrinath (3,133 m), one of the holiest shrines of Hinduism. Check in to the hotel and rest before attending the divine Maha Abhishek or evening Aarti at the temple.
Day 6: Badrinath – Full Day Darshan and Mana Village
This is the most spiritually significant day of your yatra. Begin early with the Brahma Muhurta Abhishek (early morning prayer) at Badrinath Temple, followed by a visit to Tapt Kund — the natural hot spring sacred to Lord Agni. Then explore Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibet border. Visit the legendary Vyas Gufa (cave of sage Vyas), Ganesh Gufa, Bheem Pul (a single rock bridge), and witness the thundering Vasudhara Falls. Return to Badrinath temple for the afternoon Darshan. Overnight at Badrinath.
Day 7: Badrinath – Rudraprayag
After a peaceful morning Darshan at Badrinath Temple, we begin the descent back through the Garhwal valleys. The return journey offers fresh perspectives on the breathtaking landscapes you passed on the way up. We drive via Joshimath and Chamoli, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the route. Arrive at Rudraprayag in the evening and check in for an overnight stay.
